James has experience in all aspects of commercial litigation, including at the appellate level. He has litigated cases in state courts, numerous United States District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts around the country, the United States Tax Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
James has been active in community associations and spoken to professional groups on ethical issues facing attorneys, liability prevention, copyright infringement and creditor’s rights. His community activities include service as a board member with the Aurora Project, Inc., Catholic Charities for the Toledo Diocese, Toledo Area Catholic Credit Union, the Dean’s Advisory Council for the College of Business at Bowling Green State University and coaching a State Champion Travel League baseball team. He is also currently an Adjunct Instructor at Bowling Green State University, where he teaches an undergraduate business course and an MBA level course. Mr. Rogers is also a member of the Eastwood Local Schools Board of Education.
James received his B.S. in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University in 1984, and he graduated with honors from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1987. He is currently licensed to practice in Ohio. He has attained a “preeminent AV rating” by the Martindale-Hubbell rating service of attorneys nationwide.
