A proud native of the Toledo region and graduate of The University of Toledo College of Law, Rebecca Ligibel has been engaged in the private practice of law since 1992. She has concentrated her practice on adult and juvenile criminal defense and representation of families in crisis. She is also a trained contract mediator in the Juvenile Division of the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas. As a mediator, Rebecca mediates cases of domestic violence and juvenile delinquency. She is also a Truancy Prevention Mediator and conducts mediations in the Toledo Public School System with parents and school personnel. Since 2005, she has served as a Stand-by Magistrate in the Toledo Municipal Court where she presides over small claims, federal eviction and criminal/traffic arraignment dockets.
Rebecca joined Semro Henry & Barga in May of 2017 as a result of wanting to expand her practice and continue to provide high end service and access to best of class attorneys. To that end, she has most recently been active with clients in the areas of estate planning, asset protection and business planning. The breadth and depth of the practitioners at Semro Henry & Barga allow for that full-service experience.
Rebecca volunteers at her Alma Mater, Central Catholic High School, and serves as the Treasurer of the Raft-O-Rama Committee in Clark Lake, Michigan. She enjoys visiting her daughter at The Ohio State University and watching her son play football and basketball for Central Catholic High School. Rebecca is also a member of the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity.
